Our mission is to provide a spiritual and educational environment where students will be fully prepared to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives.

We train children to look at the world through the lens of God's truth, revealed in the Holy Scriptures. By recognizing God as the source of all knowledge, children develop a proper perspective about themselves, others and the world around them. We integrate biblical principles in every class, subject and discipline, encouraging students to pursue academic excellence for God’s glory and their good. We strive to develop young people who demonstrate servant leadership, reflecting the nature, character and attitude of Jesus Christ. Our desire is for all children to realize their full potential in whatever area they are gifted by God. Our goal is to graduate students who will engage and shape the culture as God’s ambassadors fulfilling God’s purposes according to God’s Word.

Given there is no perfect curriculum available that sufficiently addresses all learning styles and required elementary level subjects, we choose curriculum based upon what best accomplishes our Goals and Objectives for each subject area and at each grade level. Publishers we will be using include:

BIBLE

The focus of our teaching is on the students’ reading, understanding, memorizing and obeying the Word of God. A typical class will consist of prayer, scripture reading, teaching/discussion, and memory work. Students will be encouraged to seek personal application of the Scriptures. With this foundation in mind, the Bible is taught as a light to illuminate all the other fields of study. Teachers will help the students see how the Bible relates to math, history, philosophy, language, and science.

LANGUAGE ARTS

Our English and Literature program focuses on building excellent reading, writing, grammar and spelling skills. Reading instruction begins in kindergarten with an intensive phonics program that lasts through second grade. Students master grammar skills quickly and enjoyably through the unique chanting and singing method of our Program. In addition, we offer a variety of literature styles that are age appropriate and inspire the imagination toward all that is good and pure, noble and praiseworthy, and illustrate good character and moral virtues. We seek to teach our students to read carefully and critically with an understanding of the Christian worldview and with the ability to identify opposing worldviews of the authors they encounter.

HISTORY

The study of history is made alive by the use of source documents, biographies, historical fiction, great literature and by integrating geography, art, culture, science and technology, as well as hands-on projects. Students will learn to understand history through a Christian and providential view.

SCIENCE

In science, each quarter draws on one of four areas: physics, chemistry, biology and earth science. We seek to teach students the basic steps of the scientific method by having them use and practice it numerous times in their elementary career. They learn to carefully observe and accurately record all appropriate data. Students memorize and recite certain critical laws, distances, lists and other data that will prove useful throughout their training in science. We seek to cultivate and encourage the attitude of wonder and curiosity that science, as a means of delving into the Almighty God’s handiwork, should naturally inspire.

MATH

Our math program encourages the mastery of basic math facts and concepts that lay a firm foundation for advanced math studies. We place emphasis on conceptual, as well as practical, understanding of math through the frequent use of story problems. God’s unchanging character is demonstrated through the timeless, logical mathematical systems He gave man through His gift of reason.

HEALTH & PE

We seek to develop the whole child. Children learn the fundamentals of how their bodies work as well as what they can do to build up and maintain strong healthy bodies. God would have us care for the bodies He has given us as we are fearfully and wonderfully made. The Health and PE program prepares students to participate in our Athletics program, if they are inclined, which focuses on teamwork and good sportsmanship. Scripture tells us to serve one another, to think of others before ourselves. Therefore, as we learn to work together on the sports field, we will learn to work together as Christians in the building of God's kingdom.

MUSIC

Students enjoy music through singing, learning music theory and simple form. They will participate in two concerts per year. The study of music is a tool to unlock the beauty and mysteries of God’s creation. Music is the champion of integration, for within the study of music lies the science of sound, mathematics, history, poetry, philosophy, and theology. Martin Luther said, "Music is an outstanding gift of God and next to theology...youth should be taught this art; for it makes fine, skillful people.

ART

Our Art program focuses on learning the fundamentals of drawing and finishing techniques using various media. Our students also experience art by studying individual artists and their works.
